Get ready for renewed fellowship and fun as the Fairbanks Senior Center springs to life.
FAIRBANKS, Alaska - It can seem like construction never ends, especially when your community gathering space is closed for repairs. Well, we have good news, because after 2 years of work and expansion the Fairbanks Senior Center is set for its grand reopening on Saturday, June 29 with a long-awaited open house party.
Between renewing old projects and grand new plans, the Senior Center’s efforts have been rapidly expanding to fill the new space. The new office area, for example, will make room for the programs to help seniors age at home. Throughout its temporary closure, the center has been able to keep many of its programs active, though on a remote basis. Now, they will return to in-person.
