Respected local politician Les Winwood died at convicted crack cocaine dealer Keith Kennedy's house.
A senior Tory politician was found dead at a crack house run by a convicted drug dealer - who was jailed for two years for supplying cocaine.
Sentencing, Judge Michael Chambers KC said: "To your credit you phoned emergency services concerning the death of Mr Winwood but also it can be argued you had no choice. "The defendant was present at the address and rung the authorities, found within in property was a white bag with 54g of perceptive, a spoon with traces of crack cocaine."
"He did what he could, in similar circumstances other people do not do the right thing, but he called he police, which led to his conviction. The pre-sentence report says these events acted as a massive wake up call and he has been drug-free for a while now."
