Sajid Javid is among MPs urging the Government to prioritise investment in vaccines amid claims the UK is as unprepared for a future pandemic as it was before Covid
Speaking at the joint health and science committee on Wednesday, she said existing Covid vaccines were not effective enough against possible future variants and warned that in terms of preparedness, the UK had regressed to where it had been pre-pandemic.

Funding arrangements for social care and how much central funding will be going to local authorities is high on our agenda.”between June 2021 and July 2022, warned of the importance of a “sustainable framework” in a forward to a new Policy Exchange paper on the future of vaccines.
