Alice Springs Mayor Matt Paterson says “destructive and senseless behaviour” in his town is scary, and they need help to combat the increase in crime.
“It is not just happening at night time, it is happening day in, day out, 24/7,” he told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
“DV’s gone through the roof, as I said, the property crime’s gone up, we’re just desperate for change.

MPs in the Northern territory are calling for a reintroduction of alcohol bans as more than 200 children, with some as young as five, are roaming the streets late at night.
