ByCLEVELAND, - A 29-year-old man charged in connection with the murder of two Solon brothers outside a Bedford Heights bar last October, has pleaded guilty to lesser charges and is scheduled to be sentenced by Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas Judge Richard Bell Thursday.

Shawntell Ellis, 29, pleaded guilty to the charges of improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, grand theft, tampering with evidence, and having weapons while under disability.Bedford Heights police said Joshua Cunningham, 21, and Dominic Cunningham, 22, were fatally shot at a Touch of Italy in the 23000 block of Aurora Rd. around 2:15 a.m. on Oct. 7, 2023.

According to police, there was a disturbance inside the bar and several people were escorted outside. Shortly afterwards, the shooting happened in the parking lot. According to the U.S. Marshals, members of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force took Ellis into custody near the 12300 block of Cedar Ave. in Cleveland Heights on Dec. 5, 2023.
