Serena Williams, Venus Williams and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian are bringing a golf team to Los Angeles as the first ownership group in TGL, the new golf league from Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy. It’s the first of six TGL teams to be announced.
TGL was seen in some corners as a LIV Golf alternative — also marketed to younger audiences and involving a team concept, but taking it one step further by making the “rounds” shorter and adding the video game elements of simulator golf. And with it being created by McIlroy and Woods, it wasSo for TGL to forge ahead on this week of all weeks and announce its first team name/ownership group … it’s basically TGL saying it’ll still exist.
