Sergio Perez vacated his Red Bull seat at the end of F1 2024.
Sergio Perez says he hasn’t yet decided whether or not to pursue an attempted return to F1 after leaving the Red Bull Racing team.
This resulted in a decision to part ways, with Perez replaced by Red Bull junior Liam Lawson – the Kiwi driver having replaced Daniel Ricciardo at Racing Bulls for the final six races of the season. “My priority is to enjoy myself, to do things I haven’t done, to be with my family,” he said, as quoted by“In the next six months, I will make a decision on what I want for the next step in my career.”
One possible destination could be the upcoming Cadillac outfit, which has been given approval in principle to enter Formula 1 in 2026. The General Motors brand is set to arrive in Formula 1 and drivers of Perez’s experience may be attractive for the American outfit in its early days.
