The Timberwolves fell to the Denver Nuggets 115-107 in Game 4 of the Western Conference semifinal series Sunday night at Target Center in downtown Minneapolis.
They just couldn’t stop the Nuggets whenever they did punch back. Anthony Edwards, who delivered a big effort with 44 points, five rebounds and five assists, hit a 3-pointer that shrunk the Wolves’ deficit to seven points with less than a minute to play in the second quarter. Karl-Anthony Towns was then called for a charge on the other end, and Jokic came back and hit a 3 to put the Nuggets back up by 15. Jokic finished with 35 points and seven rebounds.
