A major road in Northern Ireland is closed after a serious three-vehicle crash on Monday night.
The A2 Warrenpoint Road in Newry is shut, with diversions in place. However, the Police Service of Northern Ireland's Road Policing and Safety team has said the diversion is not suitable for HGVs. Announcing the road the closure at 8.15pm on social media, the PSNI said: "Motorists are advised that the Warrenpoint Road, Newry, is closed, due to a serious three vehicle road traffic collision. Diversions are in place at the Greenan Road and Greenbank Roundabout. Diversion not suitable for HGVs who will have to access Warrenpoint via Hilltown."Elsewhere, a number of roads are closed or blocked after strong winds and heavy rain arrived in Northern Ireland on Monday night.
