Police will be carrying out their investigations for some time at Burton in Kendal Services

A number of offenders wearing balaclavas attempted to steal an internal ATM at Burton in Kendal Services this morning.

Cumbria Police were called to the scene at 2.14am this morning . As a result of the incident, the services remains closed to the public and it is likely to for some time. After failing to steal the internal ATM at the services, the offenders entered a store and stole a cash register. They then drove away from the scene.Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident but police officers are still carrying out their investigations at the services. This is why they will remain closed for some time.
