Seven people have been taken to hospital after a vehicle mounted a footpath in Sydney’s Inner West.
Emergency services were called to Burwood Road in Burwood at 12:25am on Sunday after hearing reports a car had crashed into a group of pedestrians.
“Police have been informed that a Ford Ranger crashed into a stationary Toyota Camry before the Ranger mounted the footpath travelling a short distance colliding with five pedestrians and then hitting a parked and unattended Toyota Corolla,” NSW Police said in a statement. The pedestrians and the occupants of the Toyota Camry were treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to various hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.The voters in the electorate held by the Minister for Indigenous Australians delivered a shocking result in the Voice referendum.
