A series of financial changes are set to take place next month, affecting a wide range of people from pet owners and benefit claimants to house buyers.
June 5 - New King Charles banknotes Bank notes featuring King Charles III will be in circulation from June 5. The overall design of the notes will remain unchanged, but they will now feature a portrait of the King where the late Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II's portrait was. This also includes indoor-only cats. As part of the new rules, you must keep your contact details up to date on a Defra-approved microchipping database.
This is not far off the Bank's target of 2%. Many believe this should encourage the Bank of England to cut interest rates, however, this drop was not as far as was anticipated. This means the Bank may hold off from cutting rates until inflation drops further.
