To do this, you can wrap an ice pack in a cloth or a towel and hold it against your pulse points. You could also try filling a hot water bottle with cold water, use a cool, damp flannel or splash cold water on these points. Schnorbach said:"Your body's blood vessels will react to the cool sensation and instantly bring your core temperature down. However, avoid your feet and hands, as this can prevent you from falling asleep."Although a cold shower may feel great during a heatwave, Schnorbach suggested a lukewarm shower as one that is too cold will cause the body to warm up again to re-balance the body temperature.
