A number of area school systems have announced planned delayed starts on Friday due to the threat of severe weather along the Gulf Coast.
) - - Due to power outages and road conditions, buses may be delayed in some areas this morning. Therefore, tardies will not count today. Please make every effort to come to school today so we can finish the year strong.Due to power outages, Satsuma City Schools is delaying the start of school by two hours. Buses will pick students up exactly two hours later than usual.will delay the start of classes by one hour. Morning bus routes will also be delayed by one hour.
Normal dismissal is expected. All before-school activities and school-related activities affected by the weather delay are canceled. Field trips, state assessments, and AP exams will be rescheduled . Schools will not have breakfast because of the delay, but schools will serve lunch as normal.will delay the start of classes by three hours. Buses will pick up students three hours later than normal. Due to the delay, schools will not serve breakfast but lunch will be served as usual.
