Attackers opened fire and hurled grenades as they attempted to storm the building which also houses the head offices of many banks in Karachi.Video shared online shows blood on the floor of the stock exchange, and a number of dead bodies outside.Reportedly a police officer and security guard stationed outside the building were first attacked as the armed group arrived in a silver car.Pakistani police have said at least four of the gunmen have been killed.
At least one gunman is believed to remain at large and is understood to have entered the stock exchange.
