Several people sustained minor injuries in a multipe-vehicle crash on NLEX in Mexico, Pampanga
Several people were hurt in a multiple-vehicle crash on Sunday on a portion of the North Luzon Expressway in Mexico, Pampanga.
NLEX traffic senior manager Robin Ignacio told CNN Philippines that those hurt only sustained minor injuries. He did not specify how many were hurt. NLEX Corporation said on Twitter that around 4:30 p.m. the accident occurred. At least seven vehicles crashed into each other on the expressway, grinding traffic to a standstill for around two hours.
Ignacio said a vehicle at the front slowed down, and vehicles behind it were not able to step on the breaks in time, causing a pile-up. Videos and photos of the accident on social media show a bus with a cracked windshield, while a tan van was seen standing at a nearly 90-degree angle at the tail-end of the pile-up.
