Updated: Jun. 06, 2024, 1:06 p.m.MAYFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio -- Officers responded to the Eastgate Plaza parking lot May 25 on a report of a woman hitting her child, who appeared to be no more than a year old.
One of the witnesses said she confronted the mother, who responded by calling her a racist and threatening to stab her. The East Cleveland woman, 26, was subsequently arrested for child endangerment, and Cuyahoga County Child and Protective Services were advised.Surveillance video from Five Below was later reviewed and showed that the woman had forcefully slammed the child into the stroller.
