Northeast Ohio is expecting a wave of severe storms, including potential for damaging winds as heavy rain and 50-60 MPH gusts hit the area.
CLEVELAND, Ohio -
They said the ground there is hard due to lack of rain, so today’s precipitation is not soaking into the earth as usual. That can lead to flash flooding as the rain continues. A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect until 9 p.m. for Cuyahoga, Lake, Ashtabula, Portage, Trumbull, Geauga, and Mahoning counties.
