DENVER — Keep your eyes to the sky! Severe storms are possible this afternoon and evening east of the I-25 corridor stretching across the Eastern Plains.
A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for parts of Eastern Colorado and western Nebraska and Kansas until 9 p.m. The biggest threats from these severe cells will be ping-pong ball sized hail, a few isolated tornadoes and damaging 70+ mph wind gusts. A landspout tornado was spotted in eastern Adams County just after 2 p.m. The Denver7 weather team will be tracking a higher risk of severe storms as they move across eastern Colorado.
The storms stick around each afternoon through the start of the weekend. So far, it looks like Sunday will be warmer and drier with highs in the upper 80s and low 90s on the plains! The warming trend sticks around into the first week of June. Tornado warning issued for Adams County DENVER WEATHER LINKS: Hourly forecast | Radars | Traffic | Weather Page | 24/7 Weather Stream
