A man who sexually assaulted a woman as she slept after a night out has been jailed for three years.
Carl Chappillon, 33, shared a cab back to his victim’s friend’s house where the woman in her twenties fell asleep shortly after arriving. She was terrified to wake up to Chappillon sexually assaulting her and told police about the attack in Newport Pagnell, Buckinghamshire. A police spokesman praised the victim for her ‘patience and bravery’ in helping bring the predator to justice.
Her attacker was arrested on August 29, 2017, a day after the assault, and was charged with two counts of assault by penetration in December.
