The George Clooney-produced series featuring a memorable star from Sex Education is coming to Paramount+ later this year.
A Sex Education star has landed a new TV role alongside a Hollywood icon. Jodie Turner-Smith played God, regularly appearing to talk to Ncuti Gatwa's Eric, in the final season of the hit Netflix show.
She will now join Michael Fassbender for a brand new Paramount+ thriller series called The Agency. Jeffrey Wright and Richard Gere will also feature. The show focuses on a covert CIA agent who must abandon his undercover life and return to London. The official synopsis explains that an ex comes back into his life, resulting in 'his career, his real identity and his mission' being 'pitted against his heart.
The Agency is a remake of the French series Le Bureau des Legendes - also known as The Bureau. George Clooney and Grant Heslov serve as executive producers, while Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny's Jez and John-Henry Butterworth have penned the series.Turner-Smith, who recently appeared as Mother Aniseya in Disney+'s The Acolyte, has a number of credits under her belt.
The 37-year-old, who was born in Peterborough but raised in the USA from the age of 10, has appeared in mini-series Anna Boleyn, Jett and Adam Sandler's Murder Mystery 2.Catch up on all four seasons of popular coming-of-age show Sex Education on Netflix now.
