'Am I wrong to stop my daughter contacting her child?'
Her birth parents have spit up and her birth mother, our daughter decided to lie and say she was seriously ill causing 3 months constant worry. Even thou she has caused so much pain with what her and her partner did to their child she is still our daughter.
We do not forgive them, for what they did and we will not forget, but for the sake of our granddaughter we put our differences aside. In October our daughter told us she was seriously ill that required a operation and treatment for 6 week after, but it was all lies she finally admitted it to her farther a week ago and will not tell us why she did it. She begged her farther not to tell her x boyfriend and his family because of what he might say or do. He is with a new partner and we think she did it to get him back. The dramas that she is causing is not going to end, it is not fair or healthy on her daughter and we do not know what to do for the best. I want to stop contact, until she get help and get over what ever is going on in her life. I don’t know if I am being out of order by over reacting or I am right by doing the best thing for my granddaughter. She is our priority and she needs to know she is loved and respected and we do everything in our power to protect her. Please advise am I wrong to try and stop contact?
