McDonald's has finally confirmed the long-standing rumors: the Shamrock Shake is coming to the UK next month. Following the phenomenal success of the sell-out Grimace Shake last year, Brits will have the opportunity to experience another beloved American classic. Made with a unique blend of peppermint-flavored syrup, the Shamrock Shake is instantly recognizable for its iconic green hue. This minty treat will be available for a limited time only, from March 12th for two weeks.
However, due to the high anticipated demand, similar to the initial Grimace Shake release, there's a strong possibility it will sell out before the promotional period ends. While the exact price hasn't been revealed, based on the previous release of the blueberry-flavored Grimace Shake, which sold for £2.69 for a medium and £2.99 for a large, it's reasonable to expect the Shamrock Shake to be priced competitively within that range. Beyond satisfying cravings, purchasing a Shamrock Shake will also contribute to a good cause. Participating McDonald's restaurants will donate 20p from each sale to Ronald McDonald House Charities UK. This charity provides vital 'home away from home' accommodation for families with children undergoing hospital treatment. The Shamrock Shake, a popular item on the American McDonald's menu for celebrating St. Patrick's Day, has been a cherished tradition since the 1970s and has quickly gained cult classic status worldwide, despite its infrequent appearances outside of the United States.
