Shannen Doherty revealed on her podcast 'Let's Be Clear' in January that she 'desperately' wanted children and previously told PEOPLE she 'would love nothing more than to be a mom.'
The actress discussed the topic of kids several times, including on her 'Let's Be Clear' podcast in Januaryfeaturing her oncologist Dr. Lawrence Piro that she had been"desperately" trying to get pregnant with her ex before she had a cancer relapse in 2019.
"I don't know if it's that or if it's stumbling upon somebody and just feeling an instant connection. But think, as I said, I'm open, and I wasn't," she added. "It's a very brand new thing. And when I say brand new, I mean in the last three weeks, brand new.""I think I would love nothing more than to be a mom," she added.
"You gave my children such a life in COVID and I was really struggling with how to give them that freedom and that room to be kids and have adventures," she told Doherty. "And you opened your home to us in COVID in a way that I will for the rest of my life be grateful for." "It is with a heavy heart that I confirm the passing of actress Shannen Doherty ... She lost her battle with cancer after many years of fighting the disease," Sloane said. "The devoted daughter, sister, aunt and friend was surrounded by her loved ones as well as her dog, Bowie. The family asks for their privacy at this time so they can grieve in peace.
