Nobody spends more time hoovering than someone with a moulting dog. Whether you let them on the sofa or not, you'll find that their hair gets everywhere. But with a new year comes new resolutions and one of ours was to find a quicker, more effective solution to the daily chore. The Shark Stratos Anti Hair Wrap Plus Pet Pro Cordless Vacuum seemed an obvious choice - and even more appealing given it's now been reduced in the January sales.
Hailed as 'Shark's best ever hair pick-up' and 'perfect for pet owners' we were keen to put it to the test. Having tried cordless vacuums in the past, we were a little dubious as to whether it would do the trick. Yet the suction on this thing is really powerful and automatically increases in those areas that need a boost. The anti-hair wrap feature is a real game changer in stopping it getting clogged, something that's been a real problem with previous hoovers struggling to cope with both the volume of short dog hair and our daughter's longer hair. It's also really easy to empty, which also saves time. The fact it's so lightweight and easy to manoeuvre is an added bonus and means my teenagers no longer have the excuse of it being 'too heavy' when they're asked to help out. Handheld mode is useful for getting to those hard to reach places and there are four attachments which make it easy to clean to the stairs and sofa and the flexible wand means the whole bar can bend to get under the sofa too, so you don't have to. It's also been a godsend for helping to clean the car - and for hoovering up those annoying rubber pellets from astro turf after my son's been playing football.
