WITH no single tropical cyclone monitored over the next few days, only two weather systems – the shear line and northeast monsoon locally known as 'amihan' – are affecting parts of Visayas and Mindanao, the state-run weather agency said on Tuesday.Weather forecaster Obet Badrina of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration told The Manila Times that it would be generally fair weather in most parts of the country over the next few days.
Specifically, the shear line is affecting Eastern and Central Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, Sorsogon, Albay and Catanduanes where overcast skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms may prevail, Pagasa said.Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, Quezon, and the rest of Mimaropa and Bicol Region will also experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the northeast monsoon.
