Alan Shearer believes Liverpool fans should understand if Trent Alexander-Arnold decides to join Real Madrid at the end of his contract.
Former England captain Alan Shearer has urged fans to show understanding of Trent Alexander-Arnold 's decision, should the Liverpool star move to Real Madrid at the end of the season. Alexander-Arnold is being courted by the Champions League holders, who made a direct approach to Liverpool on New Year's Day only to be immediately rebuffed in their efforts.

The financial lure as well, as an individual, could be massive because there’s no transfer fee, meaning that you or your agent can command a bigger fee. 'I get it and understand it, but I also understand the frustration from Liverpool fans, with him having been brought up in the area and coming through the ranks. I would hope though, if he does go, and it’s still an if, the fans would understand it and I’m sure they would. He’s won everything at Liverpool and he is one of their own; so I would hope that there is an understanding if he does choose to go that way. 'He’s done nothing wrong in terms of his attitude as well, which has always been exemplar
