Eric Waters says the people who helped him after his heart attack in Sheffield "saved my life"A man who suffered a heart attack in a Sheffield street has said the unknown people who helped him saved his life.
He was later told by a nurse that a total of seven people came to his aid, with one administering CPR. "I am sure those people would want to know their efforts were absolutely vital and successful," he said. Mr Waters said he had no memory of what had happened until he woke up four hours later in Sheffield's Northern General Hospital.He said he later learned the survival rate for people who had a heart attack outside a hospital setting was just 8%.
