The Blades are starting to get players back from injury
Sheffield United may still have a game to play before they can join Leeds United in the international break, but unlike the Whites who have significant injury concerns, the Blades are getting a timely boost.
Chris Wilder will be able to call upon club captain Jack Robinson for today's game against Luton Town. Wilder has already made it clear his centre-back will not start, but he looks likely to play some part in the game as he gets some minutes in his legs ahead of the next game against Leeds in just under two weeks' time.
“He’s back in the group so he’ll be in the squad,” explained Wilder. “It’s great to have him back from a mentality and experience point of view. "We’ve talked about the average age of the squad coming down, the youthfulness and inexperience of the team. So to have Jack around the building and with the chance to step on the pitch if needed is great."
The return of Robinson from a groin injury is a boost for Wilder, with the international break coming at the right time for Tom Davies, who is now back in full training. Davies is to use the international break as a mini pre-season training camp and could also be in contention to feature against Leeds, meanwhile Oliver Arblaster’s fitness continues to be monitored.
Wilder's side are currently the only unbeaten team in the Championship and have made light work of starting the season with a two point deduction to sit third in the table going into match week nine.
