Dowling boasts a wealth of experience having worked at Nottingham Forest and Watford as sporting director as well as roles at Leeds and Portsmouth.disagreement with the club’s Chinese owners over the appointment of a new head coach. Sheffield Wednesday have recently been forced into a manager change of their own following Darren Moore’s exit earlier this summer.Moore’s departure came after he asked for a new contract worth four times as much as his previous deal.Former Watford boss Xisco Munoz has since replaced him with a return to the Championship on the horizon.
The Yorkshire outfit kick off their Championship season with a home clash against relegated Southampton early next month .
