Don't miss our weekly town hall.by Victoria Hill, KUTVA shelter-in-place order was lifted after a report that armed juveniles were burglarizing a home and threatening to harm people — which police later said did not actually happen — in a Utah County neighborhood.
American Fork police responded to the home near Morgan Blvd. in Cedar Hills. They said the shelter-in-place was issued for residents in a small radius of the area. Officials said they received a call of "juveniles possibly burglarizing an occupied home with various firearms and threatening to harm people."A containment area was established and the home was cleared using police K-9s.
After speaking with the homeowner, American Fork police said they believe the "incident did not, in fact, occur and that there were no juveniles with firearms burglarizing the home." They also determined that the incident was not a swatting call, and they were working with the homeowner, who placed the initial 911 call, to better understand what happened.
