She is over “half way” through her chemotherapy treatment
During Saturday’s live show of Strictly Come Dancing, Shirley Ballas applauded professional dancer Amy Dowden for not wearing a wig.
She is currently undergoing her third round of chemotherapy which she says has been ‘her best one so far’ as there have been no hospital admissions so far. During week three’s show, Amy said to presenter Claudia Winkeman that she was doing “really well”, revealing that she is over “half way” through her chemotherapy treatment.
“I talk to her regularly, I’ve sent her some flowers, her what’s going on in my day. She lets me know how she’s doing. It was fabulous to see her and I applaud her for not wearing a wig because she wanted to shine light on cancer on young people, all people, but mainly the young people, that you’re beautiful no matter how you look. It took courage because she did have her wig there. It took courage to do that. So, she’s just an amazing young lady.
