The antisemitic graffiti appeared in 'at least 12' locations in north London during the Jewish festival of Hanukkah
Writing on social media, he said:"How terrible that Chanukah started with a message of hope and on this last day we face antisemitic graffiti in London and horrific stabbings at a party in New York.Teams are now working to remove the graffiti and officers will be patrolling the area.
"I ask anyone who might have seen anything suspicious last night to call us and aid the investigation." "All decent people across Britain stand with our Jewish community - and we must move heaven and earth to eradicate this racist hatred, which was unimaginable just a few years ago," he wrote on Twitter.
But he said the latest incident was worse than he had ever seen before, having found the graffiti in nine locations.
