A SHOCKING picture has emerged showing a Labour councillor dressed as Adolf Hitler for a fancy dress party.
An inquiry has been launched after St Helens Councillor Seve Gomez-Aspron was photographed in the German Army uniform and moustache.St Helens Councillor Seve Gomez-Aspron was pictured wearing the German Army outfit for a fundraiser in 2009 The councillor has since described the decision as "clumsy" after it emerged he wore the outfit to a 2009 fundraiser dinner organised to support Claire House Hospice.
He said the outfit - worn when he was not a member of the Labour party - had been inspired by Mel Brooks' satirical comedy The Producers.: "I have matured and learnt a lot since then, and it goes without saying that I would not do this now."That was not at all my intention and I sincerely apologise.
