The firm, which has 297 stores across the UK, will be closing 20 of its branches nationwide.
Shoezone has confirmed 20 of its stores across the country are at risk of closure after facing a tough end of the year.
It blamed a combination of factors, including a hike in employers' National Insurance contributions and a rise in National Living Wage, announced in the October Budget. They include shops in Wolverhampton, Birmingham, Shropshire, Worcestershire, Warwickshire and Staffordshire. "The company will incur significant additional costs due to the increases in National Insurance and the National Living Wage, resulting in the closure of 20 stores that have now become unviable."
