Fort Worth police are investigating a deadly shooting at an apartment complex as a homicide.
A man was killed early Monday in a shooting at an east Fort Worth apartment complex, according to police.
Officers responded shortly after midnight to the Tides at 5400 apartments in the 5400 block of Boca Raton Boulevard, near Woodhaven Boulevard, after receiving 911 calls about shots fired.Multiple shots were heard after a man screamed he had a gun and threatened to shoot, according to notes written in a preliminary police report.
Detectives determined the victim and several others were involved in an altercation that led to a shooting inside an apartment, police officials said in a news release.The suspected shooter left the scene before officers arrive, and no arrest has been announced in the killing, according to the release.Community members meet for healing event to honor victims of Allen mall mass shooting, Breaking News Reporter.
