Angela Prescott from Chorley was jailed for seven months after breaching a criminal behaviour order (CBO) five times and committing six shoplifting offences. The CBO prohibited her from entering several stores in Chorley, including Asda and Co-op. Prescott was sentenced at Preston Magistrates Court after failing to surrender to custody.
Angela Prescott, from Chorley, was issued with a CBO in September 2024 which prohibited her from entering various stores in the town, including Asda and Co-op. The 45-year-old ignored the order five times and committed six shoplifting offences.
She appeared before Preston Magistrates Court on Tuesday after failing to surrender to custody. Chorley Police said she was sentenced to a total of seven months in prison. In a statement on Facebook along with a mugshot of Prescott, a force spokesperson said: "This is Angela Prescott. She has recently been sent down for: 6 Shoplifting Offences; 5 Breaches of a CBO ; 1 failure to surrender to custody.
"She got a 7 months custodial sentence for these offences. This comes on the back of our force wide #OpVulture Campaign, this operation targets shopliftings offences."
