Tesco hasn’t impressed with its new meal deal addition Tesco has meal deal fans scratching their heads with its release of a limited-edition sandwich. The new addition has brought the greasy spoon caff experience to supermarket shoppers in the form of a classic British sarnie, but it’s not been well received. The sandwich in question? Beechwood ham, egg and chips, available as part of a Tesco meal deal or for £3 when bought individually.
‘We know how well loved the chip butty is with the nation, plus we have seen a massive surge of people admitting their guilty pleasure of a crisp sandwich on social media, combined with British pub favourite ham, egg and chips. ‘The mini salt and vinegar fries give a crunch to the Beechwood smoked ham and chunky, rich, egg mayonnaise.’ However, not everyone is a fan.
