Tasmania Police are investigating after a firearm was allegedly discharged from a residence towards a vehicle in Hobart on Tuesday evening. No injuries were reported.

A Tasmania Police investigation is underway after a shot was allegedly fired from a Hobart home. Police received reports on Tuesday evening that a firearm had allegedly been used on a Lutana street. A search remains ongoing to find those responsible for the 'targeted' incident, which is believed to have involved residents known to each other. 'Around 7.

55pm police responded to reports of an incident near Derwent Park Road where a firearm was allegedly discharged from a residence towards a vehicle,' Inspector Mark Burke from Glenorchy Criminal Investigation Branch said. 'Police investigations are ongoing to locate the offender/s involved. No injuries were reported. Police are urging anyone with information which could assist investigators to contact Glenorchy CIB on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. 'Every alleged firearms incident is a concern for the community and police, and I urge anyone with information in relation to this incident, or firearms in our community, to come forward,' Insp Burke said
