Shrewsbury Town manager Paul Hurst says it is too early to determine if the club will sign midfielder Jack Price. Price, who previously played for Wolves, has been training with Shrewsbury after leaving the Colorado Rapids. Hurst wants Price to prove his fitness before making a decision. Price, a Shrewsbury native, spent six years at Wolves before moving to the United States in 2018. After being released from the MLS, he has been recovering from an Achilles tendon injury.
Shrewsbury Town boss Paul Hurst says it is "too early" to say whether the League One club will offer a contract to midfielder Jack Price . The former Wolves player, 31, has been training with Town, having left Major Soccer League side Colorado Rapids in October. Hurst says Price has to "prove a little bit more" over his fitness before any potential deal is sorted out.
Shrewsbury-born Price came through the youth system at Wolves and went on to make more than 100 first-team appearances before ending his six-year spell at Molineux with a move to the United States in January 2018. After five years in the MLS, Price was released and has been building his fitness with Shrewsbury over the last few weeks, having not played a competitive game for nearly a year following an Achilles tendon injury. "Last week, when he trained one day and then the next, he was pretty sore," Hurst told BBC Radio Shropshire
