Shrewsbury Town's unbeaten run continues after a dramatic comeback against Blackpool in League One.
Boss Gareth Ainsworth feels something is really starting to build at Shrewsbury Town after their unbeaten run stretched to four games at Blackpool .The Tangerines took the lead on the hour mark when Rob Apter fired into the top corner after Town had frustrated Steve Bruce's side for the opening 60 minutes in Lancashire. But just like he did at Wigan before Christmas, Tom Bloxham inspired a Salop comeback as they secured a point at Bloomfield Road 10 minutes from time.
Shrews are now five points adrift at the bottom of League One, and the chances of staying in the division are becoming more realistic by the game. 'They are really starting to believe,' the head coach said about his players. 'We are really building something here.' Of course, we will have games where we won't get what we want, but then it is about bouncing back then. I think the belief is building in these boys that they can bounce back, and they can win these games. 'It is a long trip on Friday. Thank you to the club. They are letting us do it right. We are in a hotel. We are preparing right for Leyton Orient.' Shrewsbury have now conceded just two goals in their last three games, and their solid defensive display stood out at Blackpool. 'We wanted three points,' he continued. 'But I pride myself on putting teams out there that do not get beat easily, and it is four games unbeaten now over the Christmas period - there will not be many clubs who can boast that. 'It is brilliant, this run that the boys are on, the belief is growing. The fans were brilliant again, cracking at the end there. 'We are in the dressing there buzzing, we want the next game to come because we all believe we can win it. 'This club has got some players. It has got some good togetherness at the moment.
