Shrewsbury Town teenage loan duo Luca Whitney and Jack Loughran each fired a brace as Whitchurch Alport thrashed Wolverhampton Casuals 5-0.

Alport took their FA Vase form into Midland Premier action and look well-placed to capitalise on a number of games in hand to improve on their standing of 10th.

Former AFC Telford and The New Saints winger Harry Bower wrapped up the points 20 minutes from time as he powered into the far corner from a tight angle. Shifnal Town lost ground in the push for Midland Premier promotion with a 2-1 home defeat to play-off rivals Atherstone Town. But thoughts of Shifnal pushing for a winner were put to bed minutes later when Atherstone's Tom Smith headed in from a long ball to inflict a surprise defeat on Connor Patterson's men.

Another of United's heroes was popular former Drayton goalkeeper Ash Rawlins. The ex-AFC Telford keeper was spot-on from 12 yards to keep out a Drayton penalty and save the follow-up rebound just prior to Woodburn's winner. In the Hellenic League Division One mid-table Ludlow Town claimed an impressive last-gasp home point against leaders Droitwich Spa.
