A brave Shropshire teenager who had seven life-saving operations in the first few months of her life, has been given the gift of a new heart.
Thirteen-year-old Olivia Austin was born on November 21, 2009, to parents Emma Draycott and Dave Austin of Minsterley, near Shrewsbury.
Dave said that Olivia has been in heart failure ever since and was put on the transplant list in January of this year after previously having had open heart surgery.Dave and Emma recently received a call from Newcastle Freeman Hospital, in Newcastle Upon Tyne, to say that a donor match had been found.
