A major restoration project aiming to revive Betchcott Hill, a 50-hectare site between the Stiperstones and Long Mynd in Shropshire, has successfully reached its fundraising target. The Shropshire Wildlife Trust sought £1.1 million to secure the land and restore its ecological condition, which had declined. Thanks to a surge in donations close to the deadline, the trust achieved its goal of £1.1 million.

However, a flurry of donations has helped the trust hit its target.
