Troy Stokes told his terrified victim 'I'll teach you a lesson'
A violent dad who launched an 'vile' and humiliating attack on a woman later shared intimate photographs of her on Snapchat in a sick bid to 'maximise her distress'.
Sentencing, Judge Heather Lloyd said the 26-year-old's actions were "intended to maximise her distress."On July 15, 2023, Stokes had been out with the woman and had argued with members of his family. When they went to the house, Stokes began an attack which was "intended to demean and belittle her", the judge said.
The court heard Stokes was drunk at the time of the attack, and deleted the video once he sobered up, however it had already been viewed by a number of people. He was arrested and remanded in custody, later pleading guilty to common assault and sharing of a private sexual image.
