It's one of several businesses to close in recent days
A popular Thai takeaway has closed, prompting sadness on social media. A sign has been attached to the door of Mr Thai Food, in Mansfield Road, Sherwood, confirming that the establishment has shut.
The restaurant, which served a traditional Thai cuisine, closed its doors for the final time on Friday, December 30, a staff member told Nottinghamshire Live. A Facebook post issued on December 29 by a fan of the restaurant wrote: "For anyone not aware, Mr Thai Food on Mansfield Road is closing tomorrow!
"Such a shame as I always thought their food was excellent and the best takeaway Thai food around. This prompted one person to comment: "That’s really sad - their food was amazing."This is the second store on the Sherwood high street to announce it will cease trading in recent days after the owners of a gallery and shop announced the closure of their business.
It was reported A Room Full of Butterflies, which has been running for 10 years, will close its doors early in the New Year when the lease on the building comes to an end. The gallery and shop, run by Jo Wood and Andy Welch, is located near Wilko and Coop, with the business offering unusual art, creative cards, glass art and gifts as well as a bespoke framing service.
