Former United defender Gary Neville told PA: “We did know at the time, those of us who were United fans, how special it was because we had the European Cup success of 1968. “Honestly, it hit me the minute that goal went in. I lay on the floor and looked up because I was a United fan. I knew that what we’d done was monumental.”
