Silca's new Gravelero mini-pump boost the output of their popular Tattico in a familiar size & shape, but now more gravel & MTB friendly...
use the one with a Bluetooth pressure sensor in its end. And while the built-in electronic tire pressure gauge is nice, it’s not totally necessary when you can just pinch the tire to see if there’s enough air in it. What is great is that the long stroke makes it quick to pump, the long hose that comes out of the end isolates hand pump motion from your fragile valve, and the reversible Presta/Schrader head with a locking lever is easy to use & secure.
The Silca portable pumps are simply machined to exacting tolerances with smooth action that just feels super precise as you fix a roadside flat.So what’s new? Silca simplified the outer shape of the Gravelero pump, ditching the grippy machined knurling of the Tattico, which although it made holding it very secure, also meant the pump was always full of dirt if you had it strapped to your frame. That also means this one is 16% lighter at a claimed 139g.
At the same time, it looks like the new Gravelero pump gets a bit larger diameter through its straight body. Combine that with a claimed longer stroke and even improved internal sealing, and you get 35% more air out each time you pump. That means faster inflation of gravel & mountain bike tires, while dropping max pressure to 80psi – still plenty for most modern tubeless road tires too.
The new Gravelero mini-pump is still 9.5″ long overall , so it’s not exceptionally ‘mini’, but it is still portable. It’ll fit in a jersey pocket, but it’s gonna stick out a bit, or simply tuck it under a water bottle cage with the included mounting bracket.The Silca Gravelero mini pump sells for $75 / 90€ including the plastic mount, and is available now direct from Silca. That’s just five bucks more than the regular old Tattico, and forty-five bucks cheaper than the BLE version.
