The spat between the pair over the 'disrespect' of Scottish football took an explosive twist on air.
Raging Simon Jordan has lashed out at Sir Rod Stewart after the Celtic diehard told him to “leave Scottish football alone”.
Host Jim White revealed on the radio station he had a text from the rocker directing him to his social media where he had taken a swipe at Jordan over his criticism of Scottish football. That saw Jordan burst into a heated rant as he slammed Stewart – claiming he should support Tottenham or Arsenal rather than Celtic.
"I only attack Scottish football because it is a low-hanging fruit – which is incidentally what you would find under Rod's kilt if you looked – but I realise Rod is a national treasure, and nobody wants to offend a national treasure, but the flip side of this is that I have almost got to the point where I want to strangle myself with a pair of his unfathomably tight trousers if I need to listen to another story about his private jet.
"The two biggest clubs in Scotland can't even put fans in their stadiums . The rest of the domestic league is sub-standard. The two top sides aren't what they used to be.
