The outspoken radio pundit has been critical of Beale in the past over the manner of his QPR departure but defended the under-fire Englishman.
Simon Jordan insists the Rangers board should “push the envelope” to help Michael Beale achieve the club’s aim of catching Celtic, claiming the Ibrox boss doesn’t have a Harry Potter magic wand to restore the Light Blues to the top of Scottish football.
Beale had previously been part of Steven Gerrard’s coaching staff and was an assistant in Sao Paulo and had worked in various youth team roles. Beale is feeling the heat after a derby day defeat to Celtic at home but Jordan, previously critical of Beale over the manner of his departure from Loftus Road to join Gers, asked: “What is the expectation? Celtic are a better side right now. And they’ve got seemingly more economic resources. So you go and get a guy who was a No.
“What is it he was brought in to do? Was it a long term plan, designed to give him time to be a able to capture Celtic or is the reality of that situation that you don’t get any time? Rangers broke the seal by winning the league under Steven Gerrard and it’s all gone pear shaped from there because Celtic regained their poise.
“We’re now in a situation where the guy is feeling some pressure. That goes with the territory. Should he be sacked? If you’re looking at the results and what he must have been told to do which was ‘give us some perceived success’. If the perceived success is overturning Celtic and you’re not doing it then you’re going to be under pressure.
